OMC is one of the commonly used sunscreen agents, colorless or light yellow transparent liquid. It mainly absorbs UVB radiation, and has high absorption rate, good safety and minimal toxicity. This colorless liquid easily blends into the oily phase of sunscreen formulations and increases SPF when combined with other UV filters. Therefore OMC is an excellent solubilizer for many solid UV filters, including Avobenzone (AVB), Ethylhexyltriazolone (EHT), Diethylhexylbutyrylaminotriazolone(HEB), Diethylaminohydroxybenzoylbenzene Hexyl formate (DHHB) and Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine(BEMT) etc.

Application:

In industry, this product can be used as plastic, ink anti-aging agent and UV absorber.
